Kasidy

Kasidy is my active 2yr old.  She watches, and does everything she sees.  This makes things very amusing at our home.  We also have to be very careful about what comes out of our mouths.

Daddy was putting your pants on today.  He pulled them up, but you weren't holding onto his legs...you slipped right out from under him and hit your head on the floor.  We all cried!  Sorry little girl!

December 10, 2012:
Your cousins, Tennyson and Sanders, came over today. You loved playing with the big kids. You showed them our elf on the shelf (Flint) and thought you were being so cool when you talked about how he turned our milk green. Even after they were done looking, you danced around the kitchen saying... "Kismas Milk!" You are so fun! You also have loved saying 'Baby Head' a lot! It drives the whole family bonkers! But we love you!

December 11, 2012:
Last night after we were all ready for bed, I told you to do something...probably pick up some toys before you story time, anyway...You decided to be mad at me.  You came out of your room, looked me in the eye, and whispered, "I'm not going to be your friend anymore."
Hmmm..."Excuse me young lady?"  I gave her a look that said 'not allowed' at our house.
She immediately felt guilt as I came down to her level and explained that those are hurtful words.  I don't know where she learned that one...I've never heard Kinners say it.  I guess they just learn and know.  It just makes me sad that she's only two and it's started!
We talked, she said sorry, and I hope it doesn't happen again...but it will:)  That's the life of a mom.  I love you Kasidy!

December 13, 2012:
You decided to crawl up on my lap while I was laying on my back in our chair reading a book.  You elbowed me right in the chest!  It hurt so bad!  You thought it was so funny and proceeded to try and make me have the same affect of lost breath!  McKinley thought it was funny too and jumped aboard.  It was fun that you initiated a tickle war with us!  I love my girls!

December 17, 2012:
It is fun to hear you talk in full sentences.  You have been talking for a long time, but you don't speak a lot like your sister McKinley, so when you do speak a lot it is kinda out of place, but really fun!  So tonight
Aunt Danica called to see if I could watch her girls.  Uncle Jeremy has a hernia and needs surgery.  I was talking about how I could keep them for a sleepover if she needed us to.  You were listening, and I didn't know it:)  When dad walked in the door from work you ran up to him and in your biggest longest sentence we've heard in a long time..."We are going to have a sleep over with Belle and Aliyah!"  You were so excited.  Dad just smiled and said..."It is so fun to hear to talk Kasidy!"
It really is fun to hear your sweet little voice!  You don't pronounce a lot of words correctly, making it really cute when you talk.  There are times when I just look at you after you've said something and we play the guessing game:)  You think it's so funny, but I am really trying to figure it out:)  I love you!

December 28, 2012:
You woke up in a panic this morning.  Practically dragging me out of bed and in tears.  I tried to calm you down but you made me go to the front stairs.  You pointed to the window and were so nervous!  I looked up and saw icicles:)  They did look a little spooky, like pointy bars on the window.  I could see why she was upset about it.  I just told you what they were and you were fine after that, but you were sure worked up about it!

January 8, 2013:
You were my little buddy today!  McKinley was at school all day and then went to dance.  You got to stay home with me and then go with me to Megan's house for a YW meeting.  You were by my side the whole time.  At home we played Winnie the Pooh matching game.  You seriously rock at that!  You win every time!  We played house.  We used Paisley as our real baby and gave her a pretend bath and put her in the bunk beds.  You thought that was fun.  We also played little people zoo.  You beat up the tiger with the koala bear cause the tiger wanted to eat all the animals.  You have a wonderful imagination.  It is so fun to watch it grow!  Thank you for being my little friend and helper today!  I love you!

January 9, 2013:
Could you be more tired?  Tonight at 8:00 you kept telling me..."I'm tired."  Of course you are!  You had playgroup today, then played with McKinley's friends, then had cousin time for two hours in the evening!  I don't blame you one bit!  Playing is hard work for a little kid!  I am glad you had a fun day.  It was so cute though, it was all you could do to stay awake for family prayer and crawl into bed.  Maybe this means I can sleep in till 9?  only in my dreams:)  Goodnight tired girl!  Love you!

January 10, 2013:
So I am not sure why you love this.  Your father thinks its discussing, but you love to get a washcloth wet and suck on it.  I know it's a little weird, but we love you:)  Anyway...apparently today a little washcloth wasn't big enough for you.  I was paying bills at the computer when you walked out of the half bath holding the purple hand towel.  It was soking wet dripping all over the floor and you were so proud!

March 13, 2013:
Your playgroup was at our house again today.  You love being in the mix with all your little friends!  We played some songs and you loved dancing!  You are also very imaginative.  You don't sit long when a movie is playing instead I will find you playing toys in your room, or you are building things with the cushions!  I'll smile at you and you smirk back.  It's such a cute face!

April 1, 2013:
You have turned into a crier!  NO!!! It's not the terrible two's its the terrible threes.  You are darling, but with the drop of a hat the tears can flow!  What drives me bonkers most is that you won't tell me why you are crying so I am left to send you to your room to calm down enough to tell me how I can fix things.  When you leave you eather say.."I'm just sick"  Or "I'm tired"  I sure can't wait to see what you do as a teenager!  I'll still keep you though!:)  Tears and all!
