PICS

Just a collage of pics we took this week...

HARD WORK

Working out in the yard with dad can be exhausting:) I don't know how she can sleep like that:) She must take after her dad:) He can sleep anywhere!

SWING

Our swing broke! I thought I was going to go crazy! I didn't realize, until it broke, how much I depended on it! Kasidy loves the swing, and I love that she loves it! That way I can get lunch and dinner made and take care of McKinley's needs:)

So Greg jumped onto the computer (He loves consumer reports and had to read up on the latest swings) looking for good swings we could buy, and I decided that it was going to be okay until we got a new one home! I lasted only one day! I was on the phone with my friend Kelsey the next morning asking to borrow her swing for a little while, while Greg finds the best possible swing out there:)

Thank you Kelsey! It's been wonderful!

Here are some pics of my baby girl:) She loves to look at herself in the mirror! It's so cute!

TO LIE OR NOT TO LIE, THAT IS THE QUESTION

After our newborn photo shoot, my photographer asked if I knew how to crochet. I was distracted and wasn't paying that close of attention and I said...Yes! People...I DON'T CROCHET! She goes on to say that she is 'so glad!' and she would be willing to trade pics for crocheted items! I know I should have told her the truth, but I kept my mouth shut, and instead thought...'I can learn how to crochet for free pics!'

This week she sent me some pics of what she wanted and that her favorite item was a stork pouch that she could use as a picture prop. She wanted that one first so I got started. I got started with panicking:) Don't worry, it didn't last long:) I went on youtube and watched some quick steps on crochet and I learned how! I even learned how to follow patterns! It is so fun! I love to crochet:)

So here is the finished product. I took it to her house today and she loves it! She just had a baby boy and can't wait to use it for his pictures!

Personally, I think it's a little silly and couldn't stop laughing when I put Kasidy inside, but for a picture prop it's pretty cute! I can see why a photographer would want something like that.

Moral of the story...It's not good to lie, but I'm glad I did, cause now I know how to crochet:)

P.S. A big thanks to Jaime!!! "THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND!" So funny!!!

MELT MY HEART

Kasidy has started to COO and SMILE!!! She is so willing to smile whenever you ask for one! It makes my job as a mom that much easier! When I am about to go crazy Kasidy will look at me and smile. It makes the spit-up all over my neck feel like it's not even there:) She is a doll!

This first picture is what I get most of the time:) I LOVE IT! The big eyes and cute mouth make me laugh!

ISN'T SHE SO CUTE!!! I CAN'T HELP BUT SMILE TOO WHEN I LOOK AT THESE PICS!

I am such a lucky mom!!! I just want to shout it from the roof tops!!! I LOVE MY LITTLE FAMILY!

FLOOD

This year the North Platte is more full than it's been in 50 years! 50 years people! I can't believe it! Our neighbors down the street are feeling the effects of the river...as you can see, half their yard is underwater.

When the river is running normal the water didn't reach the white fence, and now it's clear into their yard!

I just wanted to document this cause I think it's amazing!

BERRY CUTE!

I've already noticed that I need to remind myself to take pictures of Kasidy! I took so many pics of McKinley when she was born, but with Kasidy it seems like the day is over before I remember to take pictures! I will be better!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Greg I just wanted to say that I love you! Thank you for being the best dad to our two beautiful girls! I am so lucky that you are mine! Happy Father's Day Handsome!

SUCH A GIRL!

My friend Annie gave Kinley their princess bike...SHE LOVES IT! Thank you Annie! It plays music, there are little princess figures that dance, you can play a piano on it...this thing has more buttons than I've ever seen on a toy:) Whenever she gets on it this is the face that she makes...it is total cheese, but I love it! She is such a girl!

I had to post this picture too, cause whenever I take her picture she doesn't smile. She just looks around while she says cheese. Silly girl:)

MY MORONI

On June 11, Greg had the awesome experience of playing the part of Captain Moroni! A sister in our ward asked Greg to memorize a small part in a skit for youth conference...She called me first and I told her Greg would be thrilled!:) I was more thrilled than he was, but he's happy to help where he can.

The skit was a comparison of Amalikia and Moroni in the world we live today. Amalikia talked about how sinning was OK, and Moroni told us to stand strong!

Greg's part was amazing! The spirit was so strong in the room! At the end of his speech he looked out into the audience of youth and asked..."Who will stand with me?" The youth stood simultaneously!!! It was amazing! There were tears in my eyes!

I am so grateful to have my own Moroni for a husband who does stand strong against temptation, and does take care of our family! Your little family loves you Greg!

P90X

On Wednesday, the 9Th, Greg and I borrowed P90X from our friend in the ward. We have decided to challenge ourselves and do this exercise program. We pulled out the DVDs and saw that there was an introductory DVD to watch. Great. We sat down, turned it on and watched. It dawned on us during our little introduction that we have a lot of work to do...While the exercise instructor was talking he mentioned that we needed to change our eating habits along with exercise. Greg and I looked at each other and started to laugh! We were currently eating ice cream while we were watch other people work out on TV!

Alright, P90X here we go!

Last night we did our first DVD routine. Greg can't bend over, and I feel great!:) This means, Greg pushed to hard, and I...well I guess I don't know how to do core exercises, cause I don't feel anything:)

I'll keep you posted on our progress!

FUN PICTURES

I just wanted to add these, and then I'd feel like I was caught up with my blogging!

This is clean-up from the princess party! Kinley didn't want to take them out of the princess tent, but was okay with it once we started playing with them on the stairs!

This is her and Grant playing in the wagon! Cute kids!

And of course her new Tinkerbell costume! (Good work Jaime:) She's wanted to put it on every day since she's had it! It's fun to play dress-up!

UTAH

It was nice to go to Utah. The girls did well in the car, which makes travel so much easier! We only had to stop a couple times on our way to Bear Lake. We brought one of Kinley's presents with us! BUBBLES! It was fun to share with all the cousins!

While we were there we had a mini cousin party at the lake. Belle, and Aliyah got McKinley a Little Mermaid Barbie (She loves it guys, thanks!) Then we gave presents to cousins who we'd miss their parties! Sorry we can't make it to everything, but we are thinking about you! (Em, I love that McKinley named her doll Emilie:)

After the lake, we did what we came to do...Say goodbye to Grandpa. The services were beautiful. We will miss Grandpa, but it is such a blessing to know of our Heavenly Fathers plan. We love you Grandpa.

BOTOX AND FAKE BAKING

We celebrated McKinley's birthday with friends on Saturday the 29Th of May. It was fun to have a few of her friends there! Thank you for coming!

We had a lot of fun, but things were rushed because we were heading to Utah after the party was over. Greg's Grandpa Frank Daly had passed away, and we wanted to leave as soon as possible. We thought about canceling the party, but we had talked about it so much with McKinley that we decided to go ahead and celebrate. We wouldn't have left much before the party anyway. So...

When everyone got there we decorated crowns for the girls and the boys decorated shields.

After that, we headed over to McKinley's little princess tent. Greg and I filled it with balloons to make it like a ball pit. The kids loved playing in it! We also turned it into a game...mixed in with all the plain colored balloons, you had to find a balloon that had a picture of a princess on it. When you found the special balloon, you got a prize. It was fun!

After that we had cake and ice cream. McKinley tried to blow the candles out herself, but Greg and Andrew had to help! Thanks Andrew! And as far as the cake is concerned...I couldn't stop laughing at how it turned out! I am NEVER doing a cake again where you have to do a face! Poor Cinderella, or I like to call her Bimboella, looks like she spends all her time at the tanning salon, and has had multiple plastic surgeries:) Kinley liked it, so that is fine with me:) It tasted great:) But like I said before...NEVER DOING A FACE CAKE AGAIN!:)

After we ate Bimboella, we opened presents! Thank you everyone! McKinley loves what she got! (Thank you Jaime, and Kelsy too! Wish you could have been there!)

Then we said our goodbyes and gave everyone their party favors! The boys loved the swords, and Sophia loved her magic wand! Thank you for making kinleys party so fun!

SLEEPY?

McKinley and I were having a great conversation over lunch about Disney characters and things that interest a two year old. As I went along making my sandwich, while she ate hers, it got really quiet. I turned to see what she was doing and she had fallen asleep with her sandwich in her hand! It happened so fast! I didn't even know she was tired! SO CUTE!

I don't know why she was so tired. It was only noon. I guess she just needs to catch up on all those midnight potty breaks.

Yes, she is still in her pj's. I have a newborn!!! :)
