MARCH

- This month, on the 7th, the girls got to go to the DENTIST!!!  They loved it!

McKinley was so good.  She did everything they asked her to do.  When I asked her what her favorite part was she said..."When I got to kiss the tube."  When they are sucking up all the spit they tell the kids to kiss it, making their mouths close around the tube so they can get more spit.  Very clever!

Kasidy liked climbing all over the chair and did ok when they cleaned her teeth.  I had to sit next to her and tell her to say eeee and aaaa!  She liked getting her coin at the end of the cleaning.  With the coin they got to choose a toy out of a machine.  Very cute idea!  Point...it's fun to go to the dentist because you get to kiss a tube and get a toy!  ROCK ON!

This was a first for both of them, and I am happy to report that there are NO CAVITIES!!! Hooray!

- On Wednesday the 14th we went to the zoo.  I just woke up, and decided to tackle that one.  It was really fun, but I forgot how hilly it was and stinky!  I got a work out, and tried not to vomit when we went into the monkey houses.  Sheesh, now I know why we don't have a monkey:)

The girls loved the carousel and the train ride.  In fact, the train ride was Kasidy's favorite part.  I was sad that a good chunk of the park was under construction.  I remembered hearing that after we got there.  There was still more than enough to see, and it looks like it's going to be awesome when it is finished.

Here are my cute girls enjoying the zoo...

McKinley had to ride the Zebra.  It's her favorite animal right now.
I love watching them watch stuff.  Is that weird?  I love watching their brains work and learn.

McKinley wanted to sit all by herself.  Something that simple is so hard for me!
I want her to want to sit by me all the time:)  Why does she have to grow up so fast?
Kasidy didn't want to sit on my lap...this train ride was a big deal to everyone apparently.
Wow!  TWO big girls!
We had a great day at the zoo!  I am glad we tackled that one!

- The 16th marks my very first visit to the OBGYN.  Dr. Farley is my doctor and he seems really great.  I am amazed at how comfortable he made a very uncomfortable situation.  Thank you Dr. Farley for your bedside manner.  Now onto the baby!

I am measuring right were I am supposed to...12 weeks!  I calculated my due date online and I was due September 28th.  After measuring the baby, and me, I am due September 28th!  That keeps things simple.  I am disappointed that I was not already 5 months along like my dream told me the night before.  Wouldn't that be great to think you are only 3 months when really you are more than 1/2 way done!  Dang dream!:)

Anyway...Seeing my little baby made this pregnancy more real. (Throwing up wasn't real enough for me, obviously).  I almost started to cry but forced myself to hold it together!  I now have a beautiful picture of our little baby hanging on the fridge.

I hate waiting!  I wish I had this baby here already!  And to think I wanted to wait until spring?!

Last thing this month...Happy St. Patricks Day!  We celebrated by having green eggs and green pancakes.  It was super delicious, but looked so yucky!  I love my little leprechauns!

FEBRUARY

This month was a month of being sick and tired.  Literally!  On February 14th our little family drove around to family members and announced that we are expecting baby #3!!!
We made little Valentines bags that said from Greg, Lyndi, McKinley, Kasidy, and BABY!
Super original right?:)
We told everyone early because I have been so sick with this baby!  With my other two I was fine.  Maybe a little sick in the morning, but I'd just eat breakfast and I was good to go the rest of the day.  This current baby has made me a lot more sympathetic to all the mothers out there who do get sick!  For those of you who are wondering if I still LOVE being pregnant, the answer is YES!  Even though I am sick, I love knowing that I am making a little baby and that soon it gets to be a part of our family.  I know that it is a huge blessing and I am so glad I get to be a mom!
Just a quick side note...this baby was a little surprise.  We WERE planning on having a fall or spring baby, so not a huge surprise, except that I decided I just wasn't quite ready for a fall baby.  I had made up my mind to just wait a little longer, get my life a little more organized and have a little spring baby.  Turns out that wasn't in the plan and here we are planning for our fall baby.
It will be fun to have a different season kid, but man, if it's a girl I have to buy warm cloths instead of using the hand-me-downs.  It doesn't really matter though:)  I just want a healthy baby!

- Since being sick, playing with my kids consists of laying next to them and contributing very little feed back.  I did, however, manage to capture little Kasidy playing babies with her Christmas present bunk bed!  She is so stinking cute!  I love how she cheeses to the camera!
-

- We also celebrated valentines day.  I got our Disneyland pictures developed and put into their autograph books.  The girls love looking though them and talking about our trip.
- McKinley was excited for school, and looked so festive!  I experimented with her hair and it turned out better than I thought it would.  McKinley loved coming home and showing me all of her Valentines!  She told me who each one was from, and what role they play in her life at school.  ex. "This one is from Skye, she likes to play kitchen with me when we can't go outside for recess."  or "This is from Cooper, he is cute but he likes to just play with the boys."  It's so fun to see her growing up.

McKinley and Kasidy also loved the new tradition we started this year.  If you notice the mailbox next to McKinley...we all have one.  This mailbox is for cupid to leave something each day until Valentines.  The girls loved opening their mail and seeing the surprise inside each morning.  Cupid left small things like little candies, or socks, sometimes a coupon for their favorite desert.  The hard part was coming up with 14 different surprises:)

- On the 18th we headed up to Bear Lake.  This was a fun adventure!  We went snowmobiling and sledding.  We had a blast!  There were just two events that we could have done without.

#1: Greg took our little family up the side of the mountain without enough momentum and we tipped over.  Everyone was fine and we landed in powder, but later that day McKinley kept asking me if I had a bump on my head.  "No McKinley I don't."  I just left it at that, but later that day I noticed SHE had a bump on her head by her eyebrow.  It was HUGE!  I felt so bad that I didn't dig a little deeper into that question she had asked me!  As the bump went down it went darker and our little girl had a bad bruise!  It looked like a black eye!  I wish I would have taken a picture of it.  So from that accident McKinley got a black eye, and I will count that as a blessing!  Things could have been much worse.

#2: Kevin and Beckham.  They got their machine stuck and were gone long enough for us to start a search party.  Long story short, it was fun, but we will be staying on groomed trails from now on.

February has been wonderful!  We are excited for our little surprise, and adding one more to our family!

JANUARY 2012

What a wonderful New Year!  Here are the highlights of January...

- My sister Lacey got married to Todd Buris on the 12!  They were married in the Bountiful Temple!  Everything was beautiful; the weather, the ceremony, the reception, but mostly my sister.  She was glowing!  I love you so much Lacey and I am so happy for you!

- Greg and I took McKinley skiing for the first time on the 14th.  McKinley can be very cautious when trying new things so I was nervous for her, but she did amazing!!!  She was so excited the whole time.  Way to go brave girl!

I love this picture of Greg and McKinley!  Her smile is so sincere and darling!!!

- On the 15th Greg and I celebrated our 8th Wedding Anniversary!  I love you Greg, thank you for being an amazing husband and father!   We decided to celebrate by taking our family to Disneyland!

- Then of course...Disneyland!  We left Tuesday the 17th, stopped in Vegas for the night (Thanks Jim and Candace!), then came home Sunday the 22.  It was the perfect time to go!  The crowds were small, and wait time was 10 min max for a ride.  In face there were many times we didn't even get off a ride because no one was waiting in line!  It was perfect!

At Grandpa Jim's house in Vegas!

A welcome note from Grandpa to the girls!  They loved it!
Playing in the yard while we packed up the car. Now on to Disneyland!

The girls loved it!  Seeing all the princesses was a highlight for sure!  We went non-stop the whole time.  If the girls were tired, they slept in their strollers.  It was great, except that they missed the night shows.  Kasidy missed World of Color at California Adventure, and McKinley missed the fireworks/Tinkerbell in Disneyland.  We tried waking her up to see Tinkerbell fly across the castle but she wouldn't wake up for anything!  Greg was pretty much throwing her in the air and she didn't budge!

It took awhile for Kasidy to warm up to the Disney characters
Kasidy held her arms out like she was flying!  So cute!

Toon Town!  They loved playing on everything and exploring.

I LOVE Kasidy's face in this picture!  It makes me laugh!

The girls didn't want to leave Minnie's kitchen.  They had a blast!

McKinley was SO BRAVE at Disney Land!  She went on all the roller coasters!  Including Space Mt.  I thought she would just go once, cause she didn't know better, but when it was my turn to go she was excited to have another turn!!!  Way to go Kinners!!!

Strike a pose!  Love this!

Waiting for the parade that McKinley still talks about!

Day 2: California Adventure

Sleepy Princesses

Day 3: Both Lands, but mostly Disneyland cause that was our favorite!

I love McKinley's face in this one!  What she was thinking I just don't know!

 Could Kasidy be more cheesy?

Our favorite ride was Areal in California Adventure!  We rode this so much, I lost count at 10!

It was a magical adventure and we can't wait to go back!

Those were some great ways to start our New Year!
