CHRISTMAS

We are so blessed! We didn't have any problems traveling, the roads were bearable and McKinley did well in the car. It was so nice seeing family and friends! Needless to say we were spoiled with the plethora of gifts that kept arriving throughout the week! Greg and I think we should have Christmas early every year. Here are a few pictures of the fun week we had visiting Utah!

Kaysen is using her Bumbo...We need to work on Sharing:)

Thank you everyone for making our trip so memorable!!!

SANTA

Well...I sure hope I have not given my child a Santa complex!!! But doesn't she look adorable in her new outfit that her dad picked out?

PLAYHOUSE

It's done! The framing is done! The playhouse is so great! I'm pretty sure that I'm more excited to use it than McKinley! It's awesome because she can already reach the small window by the stairs and look through! I am so blessed to be able to make this dream for my kids (lets face it...me too!) a reality! I don't ever want to move!

ALMOST UP!

I just love to take pictures of my little girl. Then it's hard to decide wich ones I want to use so... I use them all!

A WORK IN PROGRESS

Since the basement project has started, McKinley is sleeping through the night!!! The explanation...she has a hard time taking naps with all the sawing, nailing, and banging. Who can blame her? Plus it's a bonus for me!

All the framing is up, as you can see, and we are getting really excited!

This first picture is of the family room. I am still loosing sleep over furniture placement.

The second picture is the hall.

It doesn't do it justice, but it's exciting just the same!

ABC BOOK

FUNNY PARENTS

Jayne and I put our little ones on the floor to take pictures. All the parents got around trying to make their babies smile for the camera. This is the what the children were doing:

Thank you Lacey for capturing the moment!

NEW SLED

Thanks to Grandpa Jim and Grandma Candace, McKinley has a new red sled.
We used it to get the mail this morning. It's a little cold so I bundled her up. It was fun walking up the street in the snow. Our streets don't get plowed so it's a really fun way to go for a ride.

BIG PROJECTS

Hooray! We are finishing our basement! We got the wood delivered today, and they are going to start working on it tomorrow! I am loosing sleep with all the excitement! I just lay in bed thinking about furniture placement, and what new couches we are going to buy. It is so exciting.

Our friends, The Molds, came and helped us move a lot of the big things out of the basement. We finished putting everything in the garage in about 3 hours. I think that is record timing.

Greg is funny though, he keeps asking where we are going to put McKinley.
"What are you talking about Greg?" ...
"Well, do we put her upstairs in her jumper, or take her downstairs?" ...
"Probably where we are, is where she'll be." ...
"Ya, but when are we going to hang out downstairs?" ...
"Um...whenever we want?"
I guess he just doesn't know what to do with all the extra space:) It's okay I'll help him through it.

I'M NOT SURPRIZED

McKinley is afraid of our Christmas tree. Every time I hold her close so she can touch the lights, she turns away and starts to cry. I know I should be sympathetic, but every time she does it I laugh. I hope that I am not a cruel mommy for thinking that is funny.

From her perspective though, I can see that it would be a little intimidating. A big green thing that is really bright. She's a little weary of people, I guess I'm not surprised that she's afraid of the tree.
